AEAS词汇考试以多种形式测试学生的能力，（涵盖各种题型，譬如：匹配题、同义词搭配和句子填空、病句修改等），考试时间为20分钟和30分钟不等。

 

 

AEAS词汇考核形式多样化，涵盖三部分：

 

1）.单词释义，要求学生理解单词意思，选择正确的句子来解释单词，进行匹配。

 

2）.Words in context，识别单词在句段间语境含义。

 

3）.Spelling拼写。

从上述三类型题型设置角度而言，我们分析发觉，7至9年级词汇本身难度较为一般。但需特别精准的把握词汇的准确拼写，理解词汇本身的含义，以及与词汇关联的短语。同时，驾御基础的语法知识，对于填空形式词汇题的解答，有巨大的辅助。

 

7至9年级词汇题的设置，反映对于学生综合能力的考核。必须对词汇全方位把控，才能够*证不丢分。因此考生在筹划AEAS7至9年级词汇题目时，要从拼写，单词含义，短语，语法等各角度对自己严格要求，才能*证不丢分。

 

10至11年级的词汇题，题量不是特别大，有一种考试类型，为词汇释义。

 

从以上题型我们能够看出，词汇难度相较于7至9年纪试题而言，难度较大。对于学生而言均属较生僻词汇。这就要求学生在备考计划中，大量积累AEAS词汇。从考纲角度而言，AEAS词汇需至少掌握4000至5000左右，相当于国内四级词汇量。
